Women's Empowerment Program
The program aims to build capacities of Jerusalemite women aged 16 and above, especially marginalized women in the Jerusalem community, by enhancing their personal, professional, and academic life skills. This empowerment enables them to confidently interact with themselves, their children, husbands, and enhance their roles in their environment and community. Supportive frameworks are provided to open up opportunities for women in various professional and social fields.
Academic skills of women are developed through programs exclusively implemented at Al Saraya Center in collaboration with the Palestinian Ministry of Education in Jerusalem, such as literacy programs and parallel education. Professional skills development includes various courses to assist women in entering the job market and starting their small entrepreneurial projects for economic empowerment and achieving a level of economic and social independence, such as beauty care, handicrafts, tourist guidance, and others. The center also provides small financial grants to help women start their projects.
The program also focuses on developing personal skills of Jerusalemite women to strengthen their roles and community participation.
